There are stories that are told around a fire, late at night, when the mountains fall silent and only the embers light up the faces. \nStories where it's hard to tell what's true, what's exaggerated, and what's simply been invented to make the young ones tremble. \nAnd among these stories is that of the Dalton's<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

No one really knows where they came from. \nSome say they were brothers, others that they were just a bunch of guys too tight-knit to really tell apart. \nBut all agree on one thing: they had a dangerous talent for home-made hash<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The art of disappearing... and creating<\/h2>\n\n

The Dalton's weren't the type to stay in one saloon for long. \nWe'd see them appear at dawn, the time of a black coffee, the time of a deal, then disappear before the light really entered the room. \nBut behind their bandit-like appearance, there was a know-how that even the most serious farmers silently respected.<\/p>\n\n

They had their own way of working resin like a living material: \nroll it between the palms, heat it gently, press it until it sings between the fingers. \nEach piece they shaped, whether light, dark, dry or creamy, bore their imprint: \nthat of mastered malice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Outlaws... but artists<\/h2>\n\n

You'd think the Dalton's were in it for the money. \nFor coin bags. \nFor quick exchanges at the end of dirt roads.<\/p>\n\n

But those who observed them closely tell a different story. \nThey tell of men who took their time, who smelled every nuance, who knew a good material from a simple wrinkle of the nose. \nTheir hash wasn't a business: it was a signature<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Some claim to have spotted the Dalton's recently, at dusk, in the smoke behind a saloon. \nOthers say they have passed on their knowledge to a handful of apprentices capable of working the resin with the same blend of strength and gentleness.<\/p>\n\n

The truth? \nIt's the same as all the legends of the Wild West: always blurred, always changing, always alive.<\/p>\n\n
